She shall not be moved

painting of black woman

She walks with her head lifted
Because she knows she is loved by God
Heaven and Earth cannot move her
Nor any Man break her

So she smiles, walks along and graces the world with her prescence
There is a bounce in her step
A twist in her walk
A laugh in her smile
And she shall not be moved

During the days of adversity she shall surely laugh
“What is there to fear? And what is man?” she says
“Great is the Lord and great is thy faithfulness”
“I shall not be moved”

Love is for today and love is for tomorrow
The wicked and the poor will always be among us
And so will the jealous
They will never understand
But we shall not be moved
