Women: you are enough

Women endure a lot of pressure these days.  The pressure to be beautiful or look a certain way; the pressure to be perfect, the pressure to do and have it all.

As a result we women often get tired, weary and can be tempted to feel less than or like we are not doing enough.

Or that we are not enough.

I’m here to tell you today and every day that you are enough.

Now and forever.

I’m on my soap box lately about women; how we see ourselves and how we are seen by society.  My last blog talked about women and the pressure to be beautiful.

In this blog I’d like to talk about how women are special.

Years ago I read a great book entitled “Understanding the Purpose and Power of Woman” by Dr. Myles Munroe.  I highly recommend this book and I’d like to include an excerpt here:

“Women, you don’t understand how special you are. Adam hadn’t even imagined the woman, but God had her particularly in mind. In Genesis 2:18, God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” Adam was fumbling around in the bush thinking up animals names. God said, “This is not good. This man needs help.” So it was God who said that the man needed the woman. She was God’s idea.

Women, no matter what men might say about you, no matter what you might think about yourself, you are a good idea! God’s mind thought of you, and God’s Spirit brought you into being. You are a result of God’s idea, and that makes you very valuable to Him.”

I do believe God has a never ending list about the ways each one of us are special.

I know you may not always feel like it but you are special, you are seen, you are valuable.

I want you to remember that today and every day. 🙂

  1. Yes!
It’s important for us men to remember how valuable women are.
I’m not confused at all about the importance of my wife. I know I wouldn’t be the man I am today if it wasn’t for her.
This is one of my favorite scripture.
    Women are more than enough.
    Thanks for sharing!
